• What are the system requirements to run AIMsi?

• Will AIMsi run under a variety of networks?

The software can be installed and run on Windows 2008/2003/XP/2000/NT/98 and Novell networks.  Linux can be used as a server but AIMsi will not run on it.



• Can you look up the sales history of a particular customer?

  All history of any transaction is saved in that particular customers file and can be accessed at any time; even years later.

• Is there security so I can block certain employees from seeing vendor cost, ledger, etc?

  AIMsi encompasses a very powerful security menu that will allow you to block specific employees or groups of employees from certain menu options.

• Can multiple machines be using the application at one time?

  Absolutely. At any given time any number of users can use the system and complete a variety of transactions.

• Do files need to be updated after a transaction is done or at the end of the day?

  No to both. Every transaction in AIMsi is done in real-time. This means that as you do a sale, post a payment, receive inventory, etc. all other files such as General Ledger, Inventory and more are being affected at the immediate completion of the transaction.

• Is the software easy to learn for non-computer users?

  * AIMsi was designed with a layout similar to many other Windows applications. You simply access pull-down menus from the menu bar. You can navigate the software with either the mouse or keyboard.

• Will AIMsi run across a Wide Area Network (WAN)?

  Yes. Currently we have retailers running it over Citrix, NT Terminal Server, and PC Anywhere.

• What type of rentals does the system handle?

  The rental modules within AIMsi are very powerful and flexible. Rent to Own Contracts, Rent Month to Month Contracts, Sales Contracts, Extended Warranty Contracts and Short Term Rentals are all easily established. The Month to Month contracts can be adjusted to accomodate two levels of credit formulas for those customers who choose to buy the rented item and apply all or a portion of the rent paid.

• Does the software need to be installed on all machines?

  AIMsi is installed only on the server. All other machines access the application from the server through the network.
