Music-Search

The Music-Search integration is a must for any store that has a print music department. The Music-Search integration allows you to access the Music-Search database from within AIMsi.

The search program can be accessed from the Menu, Display Inventory or your Custom Toolbar. There are two ways to search for items. The first method is by keywords. You can enter up to five keywords separated by spaces. The second method of searching is by any combination of Title, Composer, Arranger, Artist, Description, Vendor, Catalog, Level Key, UPC, ISBN and Price. These options have several operands that include starts with, contains, not starts with and soundex. The category, Genre and Title/Song options can be applied to keyword or regular searches. Clicking the Search button will take you to the Results tab.

The results tab will show you the Vendor, Catalog, Song Title, Main Title Composer, Arranger, Artist, Price Description, Level Status and Key. Clicking the Create Inv button will pull up the Enter New Catalog program and will automatically populate all the fields. If you are creating multiple records that share the same Category, Sub Category, Publisher or Vendor; you can enter those fields at the bottom of the results tab and they will be automatically pulled into the Enter New Catalog program.

In addition to the all information that is pulled in, the Table of Contents is automatically updated on the item.
