"On behalf of all the print music staff at Rieman Music, I'd like to say that we really appreciate the active-e service. Although our website isn't quite up yet, the active-e product has greatly enhanced our ability to serve our customers. The ability to import an entire catalog from a publisher enables us to find titles quicker and more accurately. It has also helped us in that we don't have to keep building new items for our database since AIMsi builds them for us. In addition, the ability to keep up-to-date on retail pricing is great. It has speeded up our internal processing and has kept us from losing money in many cases.
Another huge time-saver is in dealing with publishers who can accept electronic ordering. Instead of faxing or phoning orders in, they get sent right from our PC to their system and we know immediately if a product is in stock or not. We also know that the order has been received accurately and promptly. We have found with one very large publisher that our orders are being sent to us 1-2 days faster than in the past. Faster turn-around means quicker delivery to our customers.
In the near future we expect to have our website fully functional which will provide us with access to table of contents information and cover images. All of this will enhance our customer service and help set us apart from our competition.

"With the use of AIMsi, we have been able to monitor on a daily basis the sales of each employee, (we now have 16). In that monitoring I can then coach them on selling more items per invoice, at higher margins. We improved our margins by over 4%, and because of the data we capture, we target our marketing to reach the best customers to match any promotions we do. We do radio, newspaper, and now with AIMsi, we also do e-mail promotions, right from the AIMsi system.
Since April of 2001 we at The Bike Shack have been using the AIMsi point of sale package to run our business. In July of 2002 we expanded to include The Shoe Shack. Running two business's with one POS program made my life as the owner, manager very simple. I can track the data of each entity separately, or combined, as one unit.
In the fall of 2005, I was introduced to active-e! What a great program. We save hours of time, every week, just with entering new product updates. I began using the active-e hosted web-site in August of 2005, and my results have been ten-fold over our previous activity on the web. Something about active-e gets us to the top of the search engines, and thus, more folks hit our site when looking for product. The on-line sales are easy to manage, and the site is also, very easy to setup and work with. We just began using the EDI ordering and Invoice feature of active-e. Time savings on both the ordering, and entering invoices has been the best yet. AIMsi creates orders as we need product, a couple of keys strokes gets the order placed. When the invoice is ready, we pull it directly into our system for easy payment!
