Polling Software Advancements and Corrections by Build Number
V7 Build 006 (7.2.1.006) - March 26, 2009 - Full Release Version
General Changes:
- With this release the software’s minor version has changed from 7.1.1.xxx to 7.2.1.xxx. There are many enhancements with this version of the software which are listed below, but the primary reason for the change is for a new option: emergency release codes. In the near future dealers will be able to log into their account and, if needed, generate an emergency release code for a customer. This will allow dealers 24/7 access to release codes for computer systems that go down or customers that change computers during non-standard business hours. Emergency codes are still in development, but dealers may request one to see the functionality of this type of release code. We look forward to offering this feature to our customers in the near future.
- Throughout the software some maintenance areas open with a pre-set number of records and the navigator + option has been disabled to allow the software to mimic the pre-programmed cash register memory allocation. In the past users could accidently add additional records to the system by using the down arrow button. The software has been changed to disallow that operation and thus keep the system in sync with the register programming.
- Also, the software has been changed, so that if a default description is displayed on a maintenance area grid, the software will prohibit the user from editing that column. The software will only allow the custom column to be edited.
- With recent installs some users were noticing a V7pollingWorkfile0.ecr appearing on their desktop. That file was linked to the shortcut on their PC. The shortcut has been altered in this version to place that file next to the V7 Polling executable.
- There was a display error on the calendar program for the last week in February. That error has been corrected.
- A minor math error was corrected in V7 inventory.
- General contact information has been updated throughout the software.
- Programming is working on adding the functionality of all V7 Polling machines to link to V8 AIMsi inventory. That update should be completed in the next release.
- General enhancements were made to the user interface i.e. tab orders, field lengths, etc.
Sam4s Changes:
- Registers currently supported in V7 polling: SPS2000, 7000/7040, 1000, 52xxM, 65x, and 285.
- The 1000, 65x and 285 are in initial dealer release status. Dealers, please call for a testing release code.
- New ROM versions were added to the software: 650 ~ 10.5, 650R ~ 3.0, 655II ~ 2.0, and 285 ~ 1.019.
- Edits have been made to the maintenance area on all Sam4s registers for updating stock values. Users can now choose to add, subtract or overwrite stock values. Also, a new PLU stock modify option was added to the software to work in conjunction with these fields.
- Adjustments have been made to the electronic journal program & reports on the 2000, 7000 & 285. Users will need to resave the program from the register and be sure to validate their reports prior to taking any EJ reports. The change is in the calculation of the EJ Kind field. We also added a filtering option to the preferences area to allow users to filter the display on their report data.
- The ability to save and send register key positions within macros has been added to the 52xxM, 65x, and 285.
- On the SPS2000 the keyboard select copy/paste option for dual and horizontal keys was not working correctly. That has been repaired.
- There was an error in the sending of the SPS2000 print options program for higher ROM version machines. That has been corrected.
- On the 52xxM users can now download the postamble and preamble logos from the software.
- General edits have been made to the 52xxM reporting area including template errors, consolidated report headers, reading of negative numbers, etc.
- Users can now copy PLU records within the 52xxM maintenance area.
- General changes were made to the 52xxM program for print option changes, system option changes and plu template changes.
- Sending enhancements were made to the sam 65x registers.
Sharp Changes:
- General edits have been made to the sharp PLU by xxx reports to include the type field as part of the primary key.
- The zero skip and all items report polling options on the Sharp 410/420 were reversed within the scripting area. That error has been corrected.
- General enhancements were made to the Sharp 3500 TCP/IP polling. This register is in initial dealer release status.
- On the Sharp 520/530 PLU area users can now validate the file.
CASIO Changes:
- There has been a change in the way the software sends the CASIO employee time file to the register. The software will first save parts of the file and then send the PC changes to the register.
- The CASIO employee program interface has been changed to allow for easier maintenance.
- The CASIO cashier detail program now sends correctly on the QT6100.
- The ability to consolidate qt6000 department reports has been corrected in the software.
- The TCP/IP functionality has been improved to allow for polling of large report files.
- General timing improvements have been made to TCP/IP polling for the CASIO line esp. broadcasting programs to multiple registers within a LAN IRC.
- The CASIO link within the QB interface has been corrected to allow the manual transfer of Scan PLU reports.
- The ability to Z out PLU by Sale reports has been removed.
- The user interfaces were also improved for the 6000 & 6100 keyboard & pulldown groups programs.
TEC Changes:
- The 1595 PLU Delete functionality was added to the software.
- In development: TEC 1650 polling. Dealers interested in testing the software can request a demo version.
