Build 586 - November 23, 2001

Divided Build 

The Version 6 software is now available for each separate cash register manufacturer. The Version 6 Install Routine will divide current data in the Version Six Data directory and move it to the appropriate subfolders (see information below).  The BDE path is also modified to reflect the changes in the location of data files.

PC/POLL Software now automatically restructures machines, scripts and schedules. Users should no longer need to delete and recreate machines to enable new features.

The software will also REMOVE machines, scripts, and schedules that are not supported in the manufacturer specific build. For example, a system contains Samsung and CRS machines, scripts, and schedules. If the user installs the CRS version, all Samsung related information will be deleted.

Users will need to remove the old PC/POLL icons from the desktop and start menu!

• Auto Export and Auto Report options were added to schedules.
• Fixed Access Violation in Data Area when a report is clicked multiple times.
• The ability to run schedules at a deferred time was added.
• Users can now cancel a Delete command in the Data area.
• The software warns the user when deleting a machine.
• Previous and Next buttons were added to the Detail Forms.
• Access Violation error message now fixed in the Schedule area.
• Program IDs can no longer be named “default.”

Short Cut Keys

Short cut keys were added to most screens in Version 6. The letters that correspond to the shortcut keys are underlined on the buttons.

SENDING THE CRS PLU FILE 

CRS registers now have two options when sending the PLU Program:

• PLU: Sends the PLU file to the cash register and OVERWRITES the old PLU file information. The PLU daily and period reports are zeroed when this occurs.
• PLU Replace: Sends the PLU file and ADDS the additional changes to the existing PLU file. This does NOT clear the totals in the daily and periodic PLU reports

CRS REPORTS 

CRS reports can link to Microsoft Access 2000 ®. The Product Projection Average field was also added to the reports.

CRS RECIPE TABLE 

The recipe table screen has a new format.

SAMSUNG SPS 1000 and 650 

Many areas in the SPS 1000 and 650 have been fixed. Email support@pcpoll.com for details.

SAMSUNG WLU FORM 

The Samsung WLU form has been remodeled.

SAMSUNG 650, 1000, and 6500 SEND CHANGES ONLY 

The Samsung 650, 1000, and 6500 now have the ability to send changes only to the register.

SAMSUNG 650 ROM 4.5

The Samsung 650 ROM 4.5 has been added to the list of supported models.

SHARP 770 

The Sharp 770 is now supported by PC/POLL Systems Version 6 software.

SENDING SHARP PLU, DEPARTMENT, AND UPC PROGRAM 

This build has the capability to either append or overwrite program information when sending to the register.

For example, the Sharp 450, 750, 770 and 3300 have two options when sending the PLU

• PLU: Sends the PLU file to the cash register and OVERWRITES the old PLU file information. The PLU daily and period reports are zeroed when this occurs.
• PLU Append: Sends the PLU file and ADDS the additional changes to the existing PLU file. This does NOT clear the totals in the daily and periodic PLU reports.

Programs that can be appended or sent to the register:

• Department (450, 750, 770, 3300)
• PLU (450, 750, 770, 3300)
• UPC Program (450 only)

SHARP 450 DEPARTMENT 

The Sharp 450 Department area now supports 12 character descriptors.

SHARP 3300 ROM VERSIONS 

Sharp 3300 ROM versions have been added to Version 6’s list of supported models.

SHARP NO ACTIVITY MESSAGE 

The Sharp No Activity message is no longer seen when the progress bar is displayed for longer than 1 minute. Also, Version 6 no longer attempts to close the Communications Window. For example, this used to occur for the Sharp 450 Graphic Logos.

SHARP 450 PRINT PREVIEWS 

The Sharp 450 print previews now work properly in this build.

SENDING TEC PLU PROGRAM

TEC REPORTS 

All TEC reports can link to Microsoft Access 2000 ®.

TEC MA1650 UPC 

TEC MA1650 now has a conversion for changing 6 digit UPC codes to 13 digits.

TEC FS2600 CLOCK IN/OUT 

The Clock In/Out Reports were added to the FS 2600.

TEC PLU Z REPORT 

If a user is using PLU expansion memory, the Z-report now clears data properly.

TEC Z REPORTS 

A Clear Data option was added only to Z reports. (This does not post a report to the All Polls file.)

TEC FS2600 Employee Reports

• The Employee Clock In-Out Daily report displays no time when employees are still clocked in.
• The Employee Z report can be cancelled if employees are still logged in.
• The zero skip was corrected on the Clock In-Out Daily report.

TEC System Options

The FS1450, MA1450, FS1650, and MA1650 Range Check option on System Options is now fixed.
