AIMsi OpenEdge Instructions


Follow these instructions if you do not have your EMV hardware yet.
1.0  Download AIMsiCCLibraryInstall.exe from the passport download page (other files) and install it on each computer that is going to run credit cards. We recommend installing into the AIMsi folder. If using Terminal Services/Remote Desktop this only needs to be installed on the server.

2.0  On the OpenEdge tab on each workstation check the ‘Use legacy Server’ or on the latest version it is called ‘Use Pre-EMV Servers’ check box. Select the appropriate ‘Swipe/Pinpad Device’ in the drop down.

Follow these instructions once you receive your EMV hardware.
1.0  OpenEdge will setup an appointment with you to handle the install and configuration of your hardware.

2.0  Download AIMsiCCLibraryInstall.exe from the passport download page (other files) and install it on each computer that is going to run credit cards. We recommend installing into the AIMsi folder. If using Terminal Services/Remote Desktop this only needs to be installed on the server.

3.0  Connect the ingenico iSC250 or ipp320 to your computer.

4.0 Obtain the OpenEdgeRCM.msi installer from OpenEdge and install in on each computer that is going to have an ingenico iSC250 or an ipp320 connected. If using Terminal Services/Remote Desktop follow the instructions in the next step.

5.0 If you are using Terminal Services/Remote Desktop follow these instructions. EdgeLink Cloud and Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Instructions

6.0 Once installed locate the RCM icon on your desktop and double click it to launch/start the RCM. This will place an icon in your System Tray.

7.0 Right click the RCM icon in the System Tray and choose Device Configure.

8.0 Select your EMV device you want to configure.

9.0 Configure the RCM with the EMV TID, select the COM Port the device is on and use whatever message you want in the Default Message section.

10.0 Press Load Form to Device and wait for it to finish.

11.0 Press Load settings to Device and wait for it the finish.

12.0 Hit test and follow prompts on device to ensure its working.

13.0 The RCM needs to always be running in the system tray to run EMV transactions.

Fill in the OpenEdge tab on each workstation in AIMsi. Make sure you select the appropriate device that is connected to this computer in the drop down list. OpenEdge will provide you a new merchant token that you need to put in the workstation record. Make sure that ‘Use Pre-EMV Servers’ is unchecked. Select the ‘RCM Port'.

15.0 If you are using an active-e website go back to the Active-e Cart section of the instructions and follow the OpenEdge EMV instructions to set the appropriate App Config entries in your website on step 8.0.
