Polling Software Advancements and Corrections by Build Number

  V7 Build 020 (7.3.1.020) – December 22, 2009 - Full Release Version  (Including changes from 7.3.1.005 Full Release)


General Changes:

  • New feature in 7.3: PLU Sale Import - create a sale within one Version 7 machine and import that sale into any other V7 machine. 
  • New feature in 7.3: New Financial Report Consolidate - users can now consolidate daily sales/financial report data from multiple machines and have that data broken down by machine as well as see a grand total of all machines.  More reports to come in later versions of 7.3.
  • New feature in 7.3: Dept/Group Name Display - Group, Status Group and Department name display options have been added to all PLU/UPC maintenance areas to enhance ease of use.
  • New feature in 7.3: Machine Cross Links - This is a new feature that allows users to link PLU/UPC items from 1 machine to another machine.  For example, users that have both a 1595 and a 1650 register could share PLU/UPC items across the two machines.  Thus allowing users to update only 1 machine and then have all applicable edits automatically transfer to the other machine(s).  This linking is done on a per record basis, thus, users can pick and choose which PLU/UPC items are linked and which are not. 
  • New feature in 7.3: CASIO CF/FTP Imports - This feature allows users to import exported CASIO QT 6000/6100/6600 CF or FTP report files.  Tri-Tech is very excited about this feature as it allows users to incorporate exported report data into V7 Polling. We plan to expand this feature to other registers based on dealer feedback.   
  • Throughout the software all browse table selection areas now automatically jump to the current selection when opened.  Also a N/A option has been added to all the browse tables.
  • General enhancements have been made to all advanced and regular consolidate operations.  Most of these changes were to improve the routine when consolidating across multiple store locations that could potentially contain different item descriptions.  For a list of the new combination routines, please call sales:  800.670.1736.
  • A index out of range error was corrected on the program Import dialog box.  The error did not affect the import routine.
    Users can now sort by any column within the maintain and AllPolls grid areas.
  • Many additional reports now support report graphing operations. 
    All PLU/UPC maintenance areas have been rearranged to have price 1, cost and a calculated margin/markup on the main screen.  There is a user preference to select margin or markup. 
  • All PLU/UPC maintenance areas now have a PLU margin/markup report.  The report displays the plu code, description, price, cost and calculated margin/markup.  The report is generated off of the currently sorted and filtered PLU grid.
  • Minor edits were made to the exporting routines for the consolidated reports to work with the CBORD and Denview exports.
  • The Tools validate report routine has been updated to now validate details tables as well as main tables.
  • A general change was made to the loading of Mass Update forms.  On some registers access violations could appear.
  • An error was corrected on the formatting of program exports.  This only occurred if the first selected field had a NULL value.
  • Fixed a problem sending/saving programs directly from the maintenance area, error 'There is no disc in drive d, please insert disc.'
  • For PLU sale a * button was added to the sale item grid of all PLU and Scan PLU sales forms
  • A GoToMeeting link was added to the help menu of the software.  Enter the meeting id, as directly by tech support, and the system will connect to the GoToMeeting site.  An internet connection is required.
  • Optimized the PLU Fill blanks with Register Defaults and with Template options.
  • TCP/IP Type selection is now Local IP, WAN IP, or DNS Address for all TCP/IP machines.
  • The AllPolls grid area now retains filter settings after consolidate reports are run.
  • The last used search settings are now saved for each maintain area. (Ex. Exact match of field PLUCode)

  • The Archive Agent program now archives crosslink tables, RJE timing tables and mass update templates. 
  • Within the barcoding module the following features were added: Users can now save and load multiple saved configuration files.  The following printers settings are now saved:  printer name, orientation, duplex, copies and collation.  An issue with the Zoom button has now been corrected.  An issue with the print defaults option has been corrected.  On some printers the unprintable areas were not sent to the software correctly.  Users must set these printers as the default printer on the system.


CASIO Changes:

  • An alternate barcodes description field was added to all CASIO PLU and Scan PLU areas.  It is used with the barcode printing module.
  • Casio 3000/4500 -> Fixed issue editing Keyboard levels 2+
  • Casio 6000 -> Fixed an issue saving the General Program via RS232 communication.
  • Casio 6000/6100/6600/7000/8500 -> The Employee, Schedule, and Schedule Template programs have been updated to handle the Pay week starting on days other then Monday.
  • Casio 6600 -> Added support for fractional quantities on all reports.
  • Casio 6600 -> Added support for the 1.20.X QSR IPL.
  • Casio 6600 -> Added the ability to Send Scan PLU changes only.
  • Casio 7000/8500 -> Fixed an error when the PLU report says it failed when it actually did not.  It only occured if Advanced Logging was turned off.
  • Casio 7000/8500 -> Fixed some errors on several of the Scan PLU by xxx Reports. They all now use the same coding.
  • Casio 7000/8500/6000/6100/6600 -> Fixed PLU Verify from incorrectly flagging LinkLists greater than 99 as invalid.  Now the system checks for 3 digit numbers with a  maximum of 999.
  • Fixed Casio 6000 Dept Zero Report.  It was missing data.
  • Fixed Casio 6000 Dept By Group 1.4X Report.  It was missing descriptors.
  • Fixed Casio 6000 Sub Dept Zero By Dept 1.4X Report – The software was using 1.3x Dept table for a 1.4X report
  • Fixed Casio Dept Zero By Group 1.4X Report - The software was using 1.3x Dept table for a 1.4X report
  • Fixed 'F4 is not a valid integer' for the Casio 6100 PLU report when there are shift PLUs in the PLU file.

Sam4s Changes:

  • The Sam4s mass create routine now allows users to pick a starting code.
  • There was an issue where a corrupt keyboard table could lock up the polling software.  Now the software will display an error message.
  • The number field on the Sam4s 2000 promotion table now automatically increments.
  • Fixed problem with a missing 2300 hour time period on the Sam4s1000, 2000 and 7000 Time Period reports.
  • Removed the Station Totals report from the list of selectable consolidation reports.
  • Sam4s 2000 -> Fixed import of the keyboard.  The software was cutting off NLU numbers.
  • Sam4s 2000/7000 -> Old Format Timekeeping Reports can now be viewed without changing any settings.
  • Sam4s 52XX / 28X -> Fixed display of Soft/Hard Checks in memory allocations.
  • Sam4s -> Fixed a number of issues with the Stock Modify Send to improve general user interface and performance.
  • Sam4s 1000,2000,7000,5X0 -> Disabled the ability to delete PLU Status Groups.
  • Sam4s 1000,2000,7000,5X0 -> We now support consolidation of Timekeeping reports.
  • Sam4s 1000/7000 -> On the WLU maintain form, added Up and Down buttons to allow the items to be moved around the list easier.
  • Sam4s 2000 -> Added support for ROM version 3.00g17 by special request.
  • Sam4s 2000 -> Added support for ROM version 3.00g25
  • Sam4s 2000/5X0 -> Add an easier way to clear custom descriptors on the Touch Keyboard.
  • Sam4s 28X -> The keyboard should now print at the correct size.
  • Sam4s 28X, 65X, and 52XX -> Added an option to show PLU names in the Keyboard maintain areas.
  • Sam4s 52XX, 28X -> Fixed occasional timeouts on Financial Reports
  • Sam4s 52XX, 65X, 28X -> Added PLU Sale by Class reports
  • Sam4s 5X0 -> Added support for ROM version 1.00L
  • Sam4s 5X0,7000,2000,1000 -> Fixed issues with polling some reports when the "Send PLU descriptors" S-Mode option was disabled.
  • Sam4s 650 -> Fixed an error with the group report when RAM allocations were nonstandard.
  • Sam4s 650 -> The group #s on PLU are now correct when greater than the number 10.
  • Set up the Sam4s 2000 & 5x0 PLU to not validate the Promotion Table unless it is allocated.
  • Set up SQL query to populate the PLU Stock Link combo box for the Sam4s 5x0 PLU maintenance area. 
  • A new preference was added to the software to allow users to enter Sam4s PLU codes and have the software immediately check for duplicates. 


Sharp Changes:

  • A fix was made to the merge table routines for the sharp registers to work when the user also made PLU edits at the cash register.
  • Fixed error 'Field Description2 not found' in the Sharp 520 PLU Template maintenance area.
  • Sharp 410/420 -> Added the Barcode Description field to the PLU area on ROM 2A
  • Sharp 410/420/520/530 -> Added grand totals to the hourly report.
  • Sharp 420 - Fixed problem with PLU templates not being displayed in the template selection dialog when filling blanks with template.
  • Sharp 600/700 -> Fixed an issue getting GTs on transaction reports over a TCP/IP IRC.
  • Sharp 600/700 -> On the PLU Stock Report, the header information at the top of the report sometimes listed incorrect information. This has been fixed.
  • Sharp 600/700 -> When using TCP/IP Communication via a script, the transaction reports that are auto exported and/or auto printed now include GT values.
  • Sharp 600/700/8X0/3500 -> On the PLU Stock Report, the user was allowed to select which machines to Poll.  Since only the Master can be polled, this has been corrected.
  • Sharp 800 - Fixed error 'field Commission Group not found' when using mass create
  • Sharp 8X0 -> Fixed Duplicate Key error when polling a PLU report if the PLU file contained UPC E codes.
  • Sharp 8xx -> Hourly Report now works correctly via IRC
  • Sharp 8xx -> RS232 is now supported fully.
  • Sharp 8xx -> Standalone /w IRC machines are now supported fully.
  • Sharp Registers -> Fill Blanks now fills in empty Type Fields.  The software uses a best match algorithm. 
  • Sharp Registers -> Fixed an "Invalid Integer" error when opening the advanced consolidate dialog on some reports.
  • Sharp Registers -> Verify now finds UPC and EAN scan codes with incorrect check digits.

TEC Changes:

  • Fixed sending PLU program for the TEC 1650 when Mix/Match values exceeded the value 99.
  • Tec 1650 -> Added a preference setting that increases the speed of rs232 communication. This setting causes issues with certain comm port devices, so is disabled by default.
  • Tec Registers -> PLU Reports can now be adv. Consolidated across register models.
