Polling Software Advancements and Corrections by Build Number

  V7 Build 081 (7.2.1.081) – October 1, 2009 - Full Release Version  (Including changes from 7.2.1.71 Full Release)


General Changes:

  • Please note, that with release of 7.2.1.71 changes have been made to the V7 Polling to V8 AIMsi inventory interface.  It is important to have both systems in sync.  A checking routine has been added to V7 Polling to prompt users of a mismatch.  For more information please contact [email protected]
  • General enhancements were made to improve the functionality and efficiently of the barcoding module included within V7 polling.  The algorithm for calculating check digits on EAN 13 codes has been corrected.  A save settings button was added to the print screen area.  A search box was added to the initial screen.  Users now have the option to include custom text and a date on a label. 
  • A check was added to the software to verify a PLU/UPC description before sending that information to V8 AIMsi inventory.  The software will not accept a blank description.
  • An error was fixed for the transfer of Class 2 and 3 values on creating a new PLU within Polling and sending that item to V8 AIMsi inventory.
  • An error was corrected on the transfer for Polling reports to AIMsi when all quantities and dollar amounts are zero. 
  • A refresh button has been added to the PLU maintenance grids to allow users to more quickly refresh V8 AIMsi Inventory changes for view on the Polling side.
  • A new field has been added to all PLU Sale areas.  The ModifierKind field lets the software know what type of discount has been applied to the sale item.
  • The PLU | Tools option to add check digits has been updated to work correctly with EAN 13 codes.
  • A Print Barcodes option has been added to all PLU Sale maintenance areas.
  • When using the search box option within the maintenance areas, on string fields, the search is no longer case sensitive. 
  • The Machine ID field within the AllPolls grid is no longer case sensitive.
  • A multi-select option was added for PDF and RTF exports via the AllPolls area.  Users will be prompted for multiple file names.
  • An option was added to the advanced consolidate routine to consolidate support graphs as well.  The graph will also display the selected machines and date range.
  • A general change was made in relation to the interaction between PLU Templates and AIMsi inventory.
  • A little known feature within V7 Polling is the communicate menu within the maintenance area of the software.  Users can save and send programs without returning to the Communicate menu.  In this release a change was made to that routine to post edits prior to sending/saving via that menu option.  Note:  Not all maintenance areas can be saved/sent in this manner.  Options vary based on register program options. 
  • There is a new Tools option within the software for validating software databases.  Users can choose to validate report, setup and program tables.  Index files can also be deleted through this routine.
  • The Script and Script Items tables will now validate upon change of data directory paths.
  • Throughout the software default keyboard overlays have been added to the software.  Users can load in these default keyboards to reset descriptions and/or help create new overlays.
  • The most recent list will now correctly display the last 5 used maintenance areas.  These values are stores per machine. 
  • Emergency release codes options have been added to the software.  Using Account Passport on our website, dealers can get a new V7 Polling release code to help a down site get up and running during non-standard business hours.  Please contact [email protected] for more information. 
  • The AllPolls table will now auto validate upon entry into the reports listing area.
  • Within Archive Agent users can now archive their V8 AIMsi Inventory files.  Also some minor corrections were also made to the UI for closing and opening form areas.
  • An error was corrected within the QuickBooks Interface.  Newly created maps were not linking correctly to their detail tables.


Sam4s Changes:

  • New ROM versions were added to the software:  SPS2000 3.00g18 and SPS5x0 1.00e.
  • A fix was made to the NLU browse table option within the Sam 52xx, 285 and 65x areas.
  • A N/A or None option has been added the various Sam browse table areas.
  • All browse tables now start with the currently used value selected. 
  • On the SPS2000 the field label for UserGroup# has been changed to Class# to match the 7000 naming conventions.
  • An error on the transfer of a small subset of scan code numbers has been corrected on the 52xx and 285.
  • A correction was made to the Sam 52xx and 285 macro programming areas.  The software will now correctly display the type values. 
  • The dropdown menus on the SPS1000 now properly links within the PLU Sale, PLU Template and PLU Status Group programs.
  • An error was fixed on the Sam 7000/1000 verify routines for PLU Status groups.  The software was flagging a record in error if the Tare Table was greater than 1.
  • The Age Verification and Tare Table programs were added to the software for the SPS1000.
  • General improvements were made to the Sam 5x0, 1000, 2000 and 7000 recipe table program.
  • Browse table look-ups have been added throughout the Sam maintenance areas.  Select fields have been chosen for display to increase ease of use.
  • In build 71 general enhancements have been made to the 5x0 touchscreen keyboard in relation to keylink referencing.
  • A fix was made to the browse table look-up for Key Links within the 5x0 PLU maintenance area.
  • A fix was made for the 2000 and 5x0 browse table look-up on the promotion program.
  • A general correction has been made to the function key program on the 5x0.
  • A block size mismatch error was corrected on the Stock Modify Send for the 5x0.
  • A sending error was corrected on the 5x0 NLU program.  The NNNF error only occurred when sending the program via a scripted event.
  • Deleting keys off of the 5x0, 1000, and 7000 keyboards no longer creates ‘List Out Of Bounds’ errors.
  • An error on sending % keys on the 65x Marco program has been corrected.
  • The SPS5x0 now connects with V8 AIMsi inventory. 
  • On the 65x and 52xx PLU Templates an error was corrected so that the Auto Tare option will display correctly.  Also the PLU Link option area will now display the PLU description.
  • On the Sam 7000 Employee Report Message and Financial Report Message areas programming has disabled the editing of the Default Description columns.  Users should be editing the Description columns.
  • The UI was enhanced for the Sam 7000 cost field on the Ingredient program.
  • The user display length was increased on the Sam 7000 Link PLU field within the PLU Status program.
  • An error was fixed on the modification routine for the Group field within the Sam 7000 PLU and PLU Template programs.
  • The PLU Stock Modify fields have been removed from the Sam 7000 PLU Template area.  They are only used within the PLU area.
  • A minor typographical error was fixed within the Sam 7000 Tracking File Option area dropdown list for the Reset Check #4 field.
  • The EFT Batch and X Mode Stock Edit options were added to the Sam 1000 Authority Level program.

Sharp Changes:

  • The Function Bar program has been added to the software for the Sharp 3500.
  • The CP Object selection box for the Sharp 600/700/8x0 has been changed to a browse selection list.
  • Support for the SRV ‘Fractional Quantity’ option has been added to the Sharp 8x0 registers.
  • Minor corrections were made to the Sharp 8x0 Department Group report.
  • Corrections were made to the Sharp 520/530 Mass Update routine.
  • A Mass Create routine was added to the Sharp 3500 PLU area.
  • The PLU Sale item selection area for the 520/530 was also corrected.
  • An error was corrected on the PLU stock report for the Sharp 8x0.  Users were having troubles saving the report with non-standard allocations.  By default the register is setup with 1 description with 16 characters. 
  • An error was corrected on the PLU Group file save for the 8x0.  Errors occurred when the non-standard allocations were used.  By default the register is setup for 99 PLU Groups.
  • Users can now auto export and print Sharp 600/700 Transaction reports.  However, GT values are stored within another program.  On auto export or auto print those values will not appear.  However, once the data is fully posted to the AllPolls area the software will merge the GT values into that view of the report, thus manual prints and exports from AllPolls will include GT values.
  • A sending error was corrected on the 8x0 GLU Range program.  The software was only allowing single digit entries.
  • Within the 5x0 PLU maintenance area a combo selection box was added to the Condiment Table area.
  • Default PLU/UPC item values will now be sent when creating 5x0 items within V8 AIMsi inventory and sending those items to Polling.


CASIO Changes:

  • Some general changes were made to the reports routine to verify that necessary tables are closed prior to posting CASIO 6600 data.
  • A change was also made to the CASIO 4500 reports for periodic group and cashier data.  Previously some of the data was not displaying correctly.
  • An error was corrected on the CASIO 7000/8500 1.4x PLU report.  When taking an IRC report the quantities were not being properly displayed.
  • The software has been updated to correctly Z out periodic reports on the CASIO 3000/4500 lines.
  • The CASIO QT6600 key table will now export/import correctly.
  • On the CASIO 7000 register IPL 1.39 a field not found error was repaired within the Cashier program.
  • A repair was made to the software for the sending of Scanning PLU Link on the 8500/7000 registers IPL 1.39.  Certain codes were not transferring correctly.
  • CASIO users can now display an advanced consolidate Hourly report graph. 
  • The CASIO QT6600 now connects with V8 AIMsi inventory.
  • An option was added to the CASIO interface for V8 AIMsi Inventory to export sales data from areas 4-6.


TEC Changes:

  • Advanced logging options have been added to the software for the TEC 1595 register.
  • A N/A or None option has been added the various TEC browse table areas.
  • All browse tables now start with the currently used value selected. 
  • A problem was corrected on the TEC 1595 SFKC table matching PLU codes on items that did not have a description caused a ‘Field KeyCode not found’ error.  Other general enhancements were made to the SFKC area.
  • Browse table look-ups have been added throughout the TEC maintenance areas.
  • An error was corrected on the early 1595 ROM versions where the department program would not send correctly unless 1st saved by the software. 
  • The 1650 PLU Price Change program has been added to V7 Polling.
  • Within the 1595 PLU Discount area the software now allows negative values.
  • Users can now delete keys on the TEC keyboards without creating ‘List Out of Bounds’ errors.
  • A change was made to the 1595 PLU changes only send routine.  The register will only accept 99 changed records at a time.  The software will batch the data and send 99 per batch.  A delay has been added between batches. 
  • A general change was made to the UI on polling 1595 PLU reporting selection.  The system now checks the saved settings to see if PLU inquiry is used.  If so, polling individual satellite registers is disabled. 
  • A Department browse error was fixed within the 1650 PLU maintenance area.
  • A general enhancement was made to the Preset Price Change UI area on the 1595 to display information from the PLU table.
  • A general correction was made to the 1650 reports esp. the cashier and PLU reports.  Some users were experiencing floating point errors and having trouble clearing report totals.  The software has been tested with and without floating cashiers and with and without PLU inquiry. 
  • The 1650 Z reports now correctly display the Z counters.
  • A 1650 PLU report error has been corrected.  The last item was being duplicated on the report.
  • The 1650 PLU by Department report now sorts correctly.
  • A change was made to the way the software executes a Z PLU report for standalone TEC machines.
  • The time out procedure has been increased on the TEC 1650 to work with slower processing PCs.
  • The software now supports both the raised and flat 1650 keyboards.
  • Errors were fixed on the 1650 to handle 12 customer/check track codes both within the programs and reporting areas. 
  • General changes were made to the Systems Options area on the FS and MA 1650 machines.
  • Both the 1650 and 1595 now support advanced consolidation on the Salesperson and PLU group reports.
  • General enhancements were made to the 1650 and 1595 consolidated templates.
  • General enhancements were made to the 1595 and 1650 reports to include totals on such reports as PLU, Hourly, Credit Card, and Check Track.
